My Favourite Youtubers

Hello!

Long time no chat! Hope you are all going peachy!

During the last year or so I have discovered the expanse that is YouTube. Prior to this point in time I have to say I was unaware of the great range of content available. I was naive and considered YouTube a place to locate funny videos to chat about when entertaining friends at gatherings.

Since then I have discovered a great range of channels belonging to a range of categories. Below I have collaborated a list I thought you too may enjoy.

Let me know your thoughts - who are your favourite YouTubers?
Any you think I would like to add to my ever-growing list?

Update and Teacher Must-Have's

Hey there!

I realise it has been some time since I blogged last!

I have had many things change since I wrote last. Including graduating from uni, becoming a registered teacher, moving to Bundaberg with my husband and starting a new job.

It is amazing how quickly life can change! We are thoroughly enjoying my new job and lifestyle in Bundaberg. We are starting to get to know some great people and everyone is so friendly here. Though I definitely miss my family and friends at home!

Since beginning teaching I have started a list of essentials for teachers. I have found these definitely help my day run much smoother!

Enjoy,
flic x

 1. A cute tote to carry all your things between classes (preferably with a cute, colourful picture to brighten any day)
The Calico Tote bag - Hedwig Bag
Hedwig Owl Tote

2. A lovely pencil case to carry all that spare stationery you will need to lend to your students who have forgotten their pen (this one makes me think of my favourite patisserie in Brisbane - Choquette - more about that another time!)
Cute Pencil Case Zipper Pouch French Cafe Ice Cream Candy Cakes Sweets - You Choose
Patisserie Pencil Case

3. A pencil jar for your desk. I usually make my own by saving a  sauce jar, washing it and wrapping it in decorative paper followed by a typed inspirational quote or sticker.

4. An organised workspace. I love the organisational elements and colour scheme in the workspace below. I would love mine to look like this one day!

5. Awesome stationery - I have discovered all teachers have a love for stationery. As my friends and family know I have always loved stationery!

Cute things to aid uni and sickness survival...

Hi everyone,

Sorry it has been a while since my last post! Unfortunately I have been sick with the dreaded cold, as well as bombarded with uni assessment. Thankfully, I am now feeling much better and am slowly plodding along with my assessment.

Today I thought I would give you a list of my favourite things to assist surviving sickness and uni (unfortunately I do not own all of these particular pieces - but would love to have a go at making them or plan to purchase them someday!)

Enjoy!

Roast Dinner!

For those of you who have been to dinner at my parents' house, you will know that my Mum makes an amazing roast! Well, I am proud to say that I have learnt from the best teacher, and am slowly perfecting my own! Yesterday I cooked black pepper marinated beef with roasted carrots, pumpkin, garlic, potatoes and gravy made from scratch! It was amazing! (If I do say so myself!) Best thing is, there's heaps of leftovers - dinner tonight is sorted!

My little tea party

Lately I have been reminiscing about the tea parties I used to have with my mum when I was younger. We would sit at a small table in the front garden, surrounded by beautiful roses with my grandma's tea set and some sweet treats.

So today I decided to have a little tea party of my own whilst studying...

I baked a date and honey slice

From this great cookbook (all recipes contain no butter, no white flour and no sugar)

I accompanied it with my new Paris tea-for-one set and my favourite cinnamon and apple tea

This certainly makes studying a little more bearable - what's your tactic?
